Dpms lr 308

Ok guys need and appreciate your input. I have the RRA Coyote and love it, its a tack driver. Would I be better off buying the DPMS lr 308 BBL 24" and putting the difference into the gun or the RRA LAR 8 Varmint A4. So far by shopping around there is about a $ 500.00 difference in the two. Thanks

What is your expected target, range, and shooting conditions? Have you firmly decided that a 308 Win is what you want?

Your not going to like this but sell them all! Get a Larue preditor/OBR or an LMT MWS what your thinking of getting is CRAP!

i just bought one of these things..... love it! i took it out today and broke in the barrel. fired a total of 40 rounds no malfuntions what so ever. how ever the first 20 were shot single shot for one shot then clean break in process. I used the crummiest ammo i could find (silver bear 147 sp) and here are the results. I shot sitting on the dirt from a bipod (no fancy rests) at 100 yrds. the trigger is crap but an rra will fix me right up also this includes siters.
as you can see this gun even with crap ammo still shoots sub moa RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX! each of the different groupings were me playing with the dials on the scope. each different group is 1/2" or under the group center right is 6 shots, the group center 12'o is 3 shots center left 3 shots, upper right corner 4 shots but im not counting the one out of the diamond as i bobbled that one. again this is not as good as it will do. from prone or from a bench with good ammo i bet those would all be one one hole shots! ROCK ON! THESE WERE THE FIRST 20 SHOTS OUT OF THE RIFLE!

I went threw the same back and forth you did. i went with the dpms over the rra just because of interchangeability and available parts for the sr-25 platform. the rra is a proprietary design. The dpms is a stripped down version but imho things like forward assist are trying to fix a problem the wrong way (if a shell dont fit than don't try to force it). oh by the way did i say i love it!
