Re: AR10 scope mounting

I used American Defense to mount a Trijicon 3x9x40 on mine. I'm happy with it.

    Re: AR10 scope mounting

Get the Bobro mount and don't look back. First it's a high quality mount and there isn't any need for a tool to adjust the tightness or fit for your picatinny flat top. It does not mar your reviever either and locks down tight. So IF you want to slap that scope on a different rifle it's easy pizzy or just take it off for cleaning. The RTZ (return to zero) in my limited experience is quite good. My .02 cents . . . http://www.bobroengineering.com/view/product/8/

DPMS LR-308L upper 18", 1/10 twist SS barrel
    CMMG Mk III Lower,
    Geissele DMR two stage trigger
    DPMS LPK
    Magpul PRS stock
    Magpul MOE grip
    NightForce 3.5-15X50 NXS NP-R1 reticle
    GG&G Accucam QD mount
    Burris Fastfire II MRD
    GG&G B-Comp MRD mount
Harris S-LM Bipod Leg Notch Sling Swivel 9-13 inch
Blue Force/Vickers two point padded sling
    DPMS carbon fibre fore grip

Weight 11.7 lbs. configured as above, but still a soft shooter.

    Paint is next . . .

    Re: AR10 the right scope?

I am building an AR-10 with a 26 inch barrel, 168 gr bullet.
I want to shoot out to 800-1000 yds. effectively...
Will a Leupold 4.5-14x50 scope be sufficient?
All opinions will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

    Nice rile BTW...

    ctilander,

    I'm assuming this is a 7-08, and not a 308, correct?
