AR with heavy 22" kriegger

I'm getting .92" to 1.45" 5 shot groups at 200 yards with Nosler and Sierra 69's. Should I be expecting better? Or am I doing ok? No bullet or case sorting. Lapua brass. Rem 7.5m primers. 2.250"OAL. Its typical to get 3 shots almost touching then have 2 mess things up. Could it be the primers?
SMK 24.5 gr varget
Nosler 24.0 VVn-140

Sounds great how fast are you shooting the groups?

That's a good question! I was at the range sat and my crono quit working. If I had to guess I would say around 2800fps. What are your thoughts on the fliers I'm getting? Could it just be the inconsistency's of how a semi auto locks up? Or should I keep working on my load?

Well you missunderstood my question. How long between shots (time wise) are you giving your barrel to cool?

Your load sounds great but if you where shooting real fast and your barrel went from cold to hot this would explain your flyers.

Yep. I did miss that one. I have a pretty uniform testing method. From a clean barrel I'll fire three to foul and warm the barrel, then I'll fire 5 with 1-2 min between shots. At the end the barrel is just warm, not hot. I've tried shooting groups slower but it didn't seem to change anything. Thanks

Something else to be 'aware' (as in conscious) of is whether one of your 'fliers' is the first round from a mag, or the last. Some folks claim they can tell a difference on target...

That's a good point. I always load 5 in the mag and Im wondering if when the rifle locks open on the last shot if that's changing the harmonics of the rifle.
