satellite scouting
are there any good satellite map sites. google earth photos are 5 years old for the areas i hunt. hopeing that there are good sites possibly even real time that dont cost an arm and a leg, but i will settle for recent imagery. 5 years old is worthless in the forrest

Re: satellite scouting
Bing maps seems pretty good and seem better than Google maps. Google earth is ok but the 29.95 version lacks resolution.

Re: satellite scouting
USGS topo store has new quad maps that incorporate satellite imagery. You can download their maps in .pdf format. You can also go to TerraGo Technologies and download a free tool bar that enables you to turn on and off different layers of the map, measure distances, mark bearings, view coordinates, etc.
