Garmin Rhino Features vs 60csx and others

few years ago I bought a couple of 110´s and found them ok at the time, I bought them for exactly the same reason, (snow and dad).

they crave batteries, three AA´s. I even bought the cable to connect them to my pc and found out that you cannot unload anything....

the radio signal is way better from my talkabout 250. too much noise in the rhinos.

it is very easy to learn the use of the gps.

just hope the newest ones are better with batteries.

they work as promised, one time my brother dropped his rhino and we were able to point exactly where it was and found it after some easy walking to it.

Not sure on the feature question on the Rhino, but I have two of the old model rhinos and they are GREAT! Mine do not have the point and add yardage thing but the radio and the pinging are great. The only complaint I have is the screen size on the Rhino. My 73 old Dad has some trouble reading the screen. It is really to small for a GPS.

I have gone to using my iPhone or iPad and one of the many map programs available for GPS. So far where I have hunted I have not had cel coverage problems, but I am sure I will.

I would get the bigger screen GPS and a cheap set of Radios.
