I apologize about the poor video quality. My old camera died before I could finalize the DVD it recorded to, so I had to play the video on the TV and record it with my new camera. If you watch the video in youtube HD, you should be able to make out the vapor trail. More videos to come with the new(er) HD camcorder...

Federal GMM factory ammo.

The first sequence was recorded with the camera set about 18" from the 8" steel target hanging in the tree, looking back towards shooter. The target swung, so most of my time was spent waiting for the steel to face me.

The second set was shot at a rock measuring about 56" at its widest, 750 yards. Winds 5-8 from 090. For those of you wondering what a Nissan Xterra horn sounds like, you'll find out in this sequence of shots :).

The third set is of a rock measuring about 24" at its widest 1085 yards. An awkward shooting angle did not allow room for a squeeze bag, so the blade of my left hand substituted. All three rounds look to impact about 6-8" from each other, as best I can tell.

Enjoy,

Anyone out there have a CZ 550 in .338 Lapua. The specific caliber is not important; anything that heavy or heavier would probably present the same problem, which is, I cannot find anything but single screw (per side)Leupold rings that fit the odd size built in mounting feature of this rifle. It is basically the same as a narrow Pickatinny rail,, but too narrow to take rings designed for the rail. I have e-mailed multiple ring makers and get the same answer. I have the same problem on my Sako chambered for the Lazzeroni Warbird. I put six screw Blackhawks on my .338 RUM, and they work great as they did on my Mark V 30-378. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm looking at getting into some long range shooting and really just looking to have some fun. I'd like to get competent at it and maybe try my hand at deer in the 600-800 yards range. I know that's not long range for many of you but most places I hunt my shots rarely exceed 100-150 yards. I do belong to a club that will allow me to stretch it out to the previously mentioned distances. Again, not new to hunting or shooting for that matter, just new to the long range stuff. Also, I know it takes range time and I don't plan to go out and pull it off this season because I don't think there's time to become proficient in this short period of time but it's like to get started soon. Really just joined to gain some info on what gun/caliber to choose. I've already set my mind on a leupold 4.5-14 Mark 4 scope. Thanks.

I have been looking everywhere for them and cant find them. My local gun shop has the federal large rifle match primers in stock. My question is if i use the same load and just switch to federals will my point of impact change or anything else would change?

This question is for the guys who like to put on a pack and hike up to the alpine. Do any of you guys use, or have tried compression sleeves that go around your calf's? I get bad shin splints, and I have had a few buddies who are long distance runners, swear by these compression sleeves. They reduce swelling, fatigue, and supposedly prevent the pain you get from shin splints. I was wondering if any of you have tried them on any back country hunts or hikes? Thanks!

I'm looking to pay around $4500 for it and the scope depending on the quality of the build/scope.

Scopes should be at least $1000 on the rifle.

It also should have at least a 20 inch barrel for the 223, and 23 for the 308 on up

I know my prices, I hope you do also.

Eotech has done it again by making the best even better. Offering true 2 eyes open shooting, a transversly mounted lithium 123 battery, and 7 mm raised base offering iron sight access, the EOTech EXPS3-2 Holographic Weapon Sight, NV Compatible, 65 MOA ring and (2) 1 MOA dots Reticle (EXPS3-2) features easy to adjust side buttons and a single, quick release throw lever for easy attachment and removal.

The illuminated ring-dots reticle offers 30 brightness levels to choose from, 10 of which are compatible with night vision gear. The battery compartment was completely redesigned to accommodate a single CR123A battery - an easy to open cover is held in place by a tethered o-ring, and the compartment is elevated so it hovers over the Delta Ring.

Designed for today's modern battlefield, the Eotech EXPS3-2 is submersible to a depth of 33 feet, and the 1" Weaver or (MIL-STD-1913) mount is repeatable to 2 MOA after re-mounting. The rear window is a 3/16" thick shatterproof laminate with anti-glare and scratch resistant coatings, and the front lens is 1/8" solid glass. Because the optical system is based upon transmission holography, parallax error is not an issue - this is an excellent feature that can save your hams when the mayonnaise hits the fan.

WARNING: This Holographic Weapon Sight is controlled under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and may not be exported without proper authorization by the U.S. Department of State.
Price: $629.00
